Yesterday afternoon SLT (evening pour moi), my internet went down. It had been rather slow and dodgy all weekend, with serious lag and crashing happening, particularly on saturday night. However, I had not expected it to die altogether, and now I am forced to let you all know via a glacial-paced computer at the public library.

My lack of l’internet meant that I missed the Aden show with [ida], which I had been REALLY looking forward to and which Mia and the other made a really amazing job on. As I have no SL access now, I wanted to post here so that hopefully they can read this and not hate me for being a no-show. It was SO frustrating that I had no way to contact them; this morning I contacted my ISP and rather grumpily informed them of the problem. They say any time within the next 48 hours, so if i’m lucky i may even find my connection resurrected by the time i get home. Fingers crossed.

I just felt I had to somehow contact everyone that I let down, and assure them that it wasn’t my fault I’m sure the show was AMAZING, Aden is of course a brilliant content creator, and Mia & co. never fall short of perfection.

Partly Shameless Publicity

Ok, so my computer is still dead, and this laptop is so old and lame it can’t run SL (and struggles running two tabs in mozilla, sigh). Therefore I can neither shop, nor create, nor blog. This is day 4 and i’m about two hours away from befriending a volleyball.

SO, i’m going to link you all to a blog i share with Rachelle Slade, called The Lady and the Tramp. It’s a fashion blog with a bit of a twist, we’re new to this blogging business but we’re both really excited. I’ve got a feature on new MMS/Cachet, on Casa del Shai and a couple other posts up there already. But what i REALLY wanted to link you all to is Rach’s first post, which is super awesome, she’s an awesome mixer and matcher and she’s modeling some super awesome skins which i’d never heard of until she showed me. You really must check it out, dahlinks. And bookmark, of course.

In my absence i’ve had time to think about SL from the outside, and from my musings i’ve concluded that i do spend way too much time in-world, and i’m suffering a pathetic amount with it. HOWEVER, i plan on continuing my overly virtual life as soon as my proper ‘puter is back in ship shape.

P.S what’s archange like? is it open yet? any other interesting news? comment meeee, the fashion feeds don’t have enough info/gossip

Computer Blues

I switched on my PC (i keep wanting to put a dot inbetween paper couture stylee, i have issues) on sunday evening, to find that when windows should start, i got a flashing underscore. While my friend reassured me this was common and windows should load in 5-10 minutes, two hours later this was still the case. Considering it was on its last legs, i’m not overly surprised that windows has finally bitten the dust on my machine, however it does mean that i cannot log into SL for a while, as the dusty family laptop i’m on is terrible and doesn’t even like running more than one tab in Firefox. I can try getting in-world, but don’t be too helpful. This is just a message to anyone thats wondering, and to anyone that has left me offlines or are waiting for me to do something for them. My apologies to the feed readers for this completely unfashion-y post, about which they care not one bit.

However, in actual store-related news, I believe i’ve accidentally removed the Gillian set from one of my stores – this was purely accidental on my part and i still <3 you Gillywinkles. That is all.
